So, obviously, there’s been a pretty significant jump in progress since just yesterday. (Yay me!)
But here’s the thing…
There’s a 2600-word chapter in there that I’m not actually convinced will make it past editing.
The chapter isn’t bad, per se. I’m just not sure it… fits… with what I’m going for and what I want for my characters, particularly at that point in the story.
For now, I’ll be leaving the chapter as-is and pressing on. Let the edit hatchet fall if that’s to be its fate, but for now, it stays.
But here’s the thing… I’m thinking about posting this bastard chapter for patrons. In all its dirty, first-draft glory. Without any other context from the book (as yet), and knowing that it may not actually make it to the finish line with the rest of the book.
